My Mom

What can I say??????????? I love her with all my heart and am heartbroken. This wasn't suppose to happen - she was suppose to see Kaia and Kiersey grow-up. She was suppose to come back and visit us so I could show her the awesome playground we found. Who am I suppose to talk to about everything? Who am I suppose to turn to when I'm not feeling good or down, who am I suppose to call when Kiersten does something cute or reaches another milestone - who is going to comfort Kaia when she is upset and send her hugs? I didn't even get to say good bye.

I spent the better part of last night thinking about you and your family. I'm so sorry for your loss. Things like this are always tough--but you didn't even get any sign that things weren't right. You know you can call me anytime. What a blessing that your mom was able to be there for your recent baptisms--I'm sure she'll be watching you and cheering for your family as you all make your way back to her. It's times like this that I realize how truly blessed we are to have the knowledge of the gospel. We are children of God and he does not ever abandon us. There is a plan designed to bring us back with all our loved ones.

If you need ANYTHING, call me. You have always been one of those friends who knows just what to say, even when there's nothing to be said. I love you--you're gonna get through this, and you'll be stronger than you ever thought you could be.

Adrienne, I just got your e-mail and I am in shock. It's too late to call you tonight but I want you to know that I am so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine how hard this must be for you. Please know that if you ever need to talk I'm available! Brandi and I are planning on going to the viewing tomorrow night. Hopefully we will see you there...

A- I have been trying to think of something profound to say to you during this time, but all that I could come up with was "I'm sorry".

I did like this quote though, American author Thornton Wilder said, “The highest tribute to the dead is not grief but
gratitude.”
